Adak, formerly Naval Air Facility Adak, is a city located on Adak Island, in the Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska, United States. The population was 326 at the 2010 census. It is the westernmost municipality in the United States and the southernmost city in Alaska.
Following the closure of the US military base in March 1997, the town of Adak, Alaska was incorporated at the site of the former base, which was handed over to the Aleut Native Corporation. At its peak, the station housed over 6,000 naval and Coast Guard personnel and their families.
There is one school located in the community, attended by 18 students.
